Dijon is the historical capital of the Duchy of Burgundy is located in central Côte d'Or, in eastern France. City of great cultural heritage, churches like Notre Dame where stands the Gothic style of the thirteenth century Burgundian, monuments such as the courthouse, art museums of the city as a museum of sacred art and many other beautiful sites to see there. Another interesting part is their gastronomy and wine (Dijon mustard, burgundy wine) being just one step of the wine area.
Additional transport facilities are just 1 hour and 36 minutes to reach Paris with connecting lines to Frankfurt and Zurich.
In the streets on the floor is a path with symbols in golden triangle and a small
owl drawn on it, following this symbol in the center of the town and if you're lucky you will find at the end “the Owl of Dijon” (the chouette ) in a small corner of the church of Notre Dame. Dijon Owl has different theories of their origin which dates back to the late fifteenth century this is known to bring good luck to those who touch it and make a wish on this. According to tradition should be touched with the left hand.
Interesting place to see, this city surrounded by art historical of severe architectural styles, wine, mustard and traditions like the owl of Dijon.
