Asilah is a small village situated on the Atlantic coast of Morocco just an hour of Tanger conquered by Portugal, then left at the hands of pirates and around 1912 is part of Spain therefore the Spanish is the second language apart from Arabic and French.

 

At the heart of Asilah is "The Medina" small walled village as legacy of Portugal, the white and blue of their houses, stone streets, with shops of handicrafts. In some terraces and sea can be seen from a distance the sound of the waves. In the medina is also Raïssouli Palace built in the beginning of the 20th century by the famous bandit Mouslay Raïssouli.

 

Writers and European artists find inspiration in this harmonious place. In its vicinity are small villages where the diverse nature and wildlife are appreciated. In Barbery since the roofs of the houses the large nests of storks surrounded by popular and private beaches where you can enjoy the sea under the sun.

 

Near Tangier Asilah, there is a mix of culture and modernity. Residential buildings, big markets, the port of Tangier with a spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea and achieving see Gibraltar in the cloudless days. Interesting sites to visit there are "The kasbah" medina of Tanger which shows its architecture and history, the famous “Cafe Baba” where the Rolling Stones were living for some time, and other nice places.

 

Gastronomic variety of fruits and vegetables, with traditional dishes of the couscous as well the popular Pastilla (dessert sweet and salty) and their wines generally are going well.
